Era il 1926 quando Edoardo Agnelli, padre
dell’Avvocato Gianni, acquistò la neo-rinascimentale
Villa Costanza fatta costruire dall’ammiraglio Morin
agli inizi del Novecento. La presenza costante
della famiglia torinese inaugurò un modello di
villeggiatura estiva dallo stile ricercato ed esclusivo
che ben presto caratterizzò il Forte dei Marmi.
Nel 1939 i Pesenti commissionarono all’architetto
Osvaldo Borsani l’omonima villa in stile razionalista
dove l’élite artistica e letteraria che frequentava la
zona spesso si riuniva. I due stili, revival il primo e
modernista il secondo, rappresentarono fonte di
ispirazione per le successive realizzazioni, sempre in
bilico tra passato e futuro.
The year was 1926 when Edoardo Agnelli, tfather
of lawyer Gianni, bought the Neo-Renaissance
Villa Costanza, built by Admiral Morin at the
beginning of the twentieth century. The constant
presence of the Turinese family ushered in a model
of summer vacation with the sophisticated and
exclusive style that soon characterized the Forte
dei Marmi. In 1939 the Pesentis commissioned
architect Osvaldo Borsani to build the homonymous
rationalist-style villa, where the artistic and literary
elite who frequented the area often met. The two
styles, modernist the first and revival the second,
represented a source of inspiration for subsequent
realizations, always poised between past and future.
