The walls and floors are in tri-colored marble, the
ceiling in carved and painted wood and the fountains in
inlaid marble. Altogether, they create magnificence in the
common areas; it’s almost like walking into the Alhambra
in Granada. As one might imagine, it is a four-star hotel.
The rooms and suites are simply yet tastefully furnished
with basic modern technology, and generally more
oriented towards a leisure clientele.
It offers two restaurants, the Shamiah Café, which is
open for breakfast as well as during the day as a café, and
Le Rendezvous, which serves a buffet lunch and dinner.
In the courtyard there is a large outdoor swimming pool,
which must be one of the largest amongst the hotels in
Riyadh. When the weather permits, this area is in high
demand for open-air receptions.
