Glaring through is all the recent history of Cambodia from this complex built in 1962 as a guesthouse
for the new Cambodian state, only having recently become independent. It was called the Villa
Princiére and was commissioned by Prince Norodom Sihanouk who hosted among others Jacqueline
Kennedy and presidents Tito and Charles de Gaulle. Straight lines, high ceiling, glass wall are united
by cement covered by plaster and bare stones. The suites are minimalist bright, ethereal with ample
surfaces in wood. The dimensions are generous and the cuisine superb, above all the Khmer fare.
Amansara is a resort that originated as a base for the excursions to the Temple of Angkor.
The elegant minimalist spa offers a limited menu of treatments in an impressive ambience of great
fascination. In perfect tune with the rest of the resort.
