Uluwatu, the “rock at the end of the Earth”, is in the south of the Nusa Dua peninsula. A stone’s
throw way lies one of the most venerated places in Bali, the homonymous temple, dedicated to
the guardian spirits of the sea. This is hardly by chance since we are on a cliff a hundred metres
high which goes straight down to a crystalline sea with huge waves well known to surfers the world
around. It was the frst resort in Bali to receive the Green Globe for its architecture, planning and
design. Alila Villas Uluwatu, in fact, is, above all, a design hotel. The Alila Spa is secluded in the
garden.
