Up to a few years ago, if one asked a Emirati where Saadiyat Island was, he would have
responded hesitantly, and, at best, indicating a faraway rustic place, known to most as wild
and inhospitable.
The space of the new Park Hyatt vies for that of the dunes. Development is above all
horizontal. The spaces recall the villages of the Arabian Peninsula. The light colours
imitate those of the sand. The quantity of wood used contributes to the local feeling
created also by the ubiquitous Moresque decorations. Naturally, the most advanced
technology permeates this new structure, responding to the expectations of the most
demanding visitors.
The luxury of the 306 units of rooms, suites and villas which comprise the resort is
very contemporary. It boasts 4 restaurants, but we like to remember the library and its
